01—
I come from a place where the Kings
Like Pilate of old smile so broadly
While washing their hands
In the bowl of lies

02—
I come from a place where the little ones
Keep whistling their wishes
Each night on the street
Lying on same bed with fear

03—
I come from a place where dreams do die young
And wishes don’t grow tall
A place where the moon watches us dip our bread
in a glass filled with evils

04—
I come from a place where potbellied men
Sit on the throne each day,
Wearing the regalia of negligence
And the shoe of selfishness
While people shake hands with poverty

05—
I come from a place where peace
is being butchered;
With the sword of tribalism
And the arrow of religion

06—
I come from a place where living in peace
is abnormal
A place where the tree of liberty
Must be watered with the blood of the patriots

07—
I come from a place where the guns speak
And the bombs sing
Where fathers sit and fold their arms
While the sons bath in the pool of blood

08–
I come from a place where
we must gather the pieces of us;
And glue it together with love
Putting out the garment of war
And putting on PEACE
